Why He Built It
Mike Beasley has spent over a decade building websites and web applications — everything from e-commerce stores to AI-integrated content platforms. In 2024, searching for wildlife educational resources for kids, he ran into the same wall every parent and teacher does: the good ones cost money, and the free ones are mediocre at best.
The gap was obvious. Kids' interest in animals is practically universal — but access to genuinely good, free wildlife education resources was not. Subscription services charged monthly fees. TPT listings charged per download. Free alternatives were clipart-level quality with no real educational content.

So he built Zoo Printables AI from the ground up: a platform that researches each animal from authoritative sources like the IUCN Red List and Smithsonian, creates age-differentiated educational content, and publishes it as free interactive activities and coloring pages. No paywall. No sign-up. No catch. 120+ animals and counting.
Process
How Every Pack Is Made
Animal Research
Each animal is researched using the IUCN Red List, National Geographic, Smithsonian databases, and leading zoo resources to gather accurate facts on habitat, diet, behavior, and conservation status.
AI Content Generation
AI tools generate age-appropriate fact sheets, interactive game content, and coloring page descriptions — scaffolded across three age tiers (ages 3–5, 6–9, 10–12) for every animal.
Fact Verification
Every fact is cross-referenced against the IUCN Red List and published wildlife databases. Conservation status classifications are reviewed with each new animal to stay current.
Publish Free for Everyone
Interactive activities are built for any browser — iPad, iPhone, laptop, or desktop. Coloring pages are available free on Vecteezy. Everything is published to the free library, no paywall.
Content Sources: All animal facts are sourced from the IUCN Red List, Smithsonian's National Zoo databases, and National Geographic Kids. Conservation status classifications are reviewed at each pack release and updated to reflect the most current IUCN assessments. No facts are published from AI generation alone — every claim is cross-referenced against at least one authoritative wildlife database before publication.
